Cool coincidence concerning The Sedona Intensive

Today I stumbled across two of my favorite books, “Signs and Wonders” and “You’re Not Who You Think You Are”, both by the enlightened luminary Albert Clayton Gaulden, of the seriously cool organization “The Sedona Intensive”, and I decided to re-read both of them, as I am currently going through some anxiety and downright weird feelings possibly due to anti-seizure medication I was prescribed after I underwent surgery to relieve pressure from my brain due to an abscess caused by an infection when my cranium was punctured (ouch!) by a sharp dead tree branch. I felt I might be able to retrieve some of my lost sense of well-being by re-reading one or both of his wonderful books I already had in my possession.

Anyway, right when I was reading the book flap of Gaulden’s “You’re Not Who You Think You Are” (published in 2006), I happened to hear a discussion on my radio, which was tuned into my local Houston NPR station, which had only recently become an all-news and talk station a week or so earlier, and the discussion just happened to be obviously centered on the speculations of what possible cosmic or metaphysical thing might occur in the coming year, 2012, due to all that Mayan calendar stuff. It was the very subject I was reading about on the book flap at that moment! Mind you, I had no idea what the radio programming would be on that day, let alone at that very moment. Just prior to that discussion, the syndicated radio program “This American Life” had aired, and that’s what I had been paying attention to before going to my book shelves to find “You’re Not Who You Think You Are” and “Signs And Wonders”.

Intrigued by this apparent synchronicity, I Googled Albert Gaulden and found his blog site. Naturally, I checked it out to see if he was up to anything new. I read almost with astonishment that he was at that very moment at a speaking engagement in San Antonio, Texas, just a three-hour drive away from me! Unfortunately, it was too late for me to do anything about it, but I thought it was pretty cool timing that he happened to be in the state of Texas, and that it was within reasonably easy driving distance from me.

Disappointed that I hadn’t known about it sooner, so that I could have made plans to attend, I scanned a little further down on his blog and found the heading “Upcoming events”. Just at that very moment, one of the guys speaking on the radio said “upcoming events”!! It couldn’t have been timed better! I had some pretty serious goosebumps from that one, for sure! Consequently, the timing of this “upcoming events” coincidence made me think I should check regularly to see if there is an “upcoming event” I can attend in the near future, as I am obviously a big fan of Gaulden, and would love to meet and speak with him in person at some point in my life!

Who knows? Maybe this little coincidence-thingy was an indicator that it will happen, and soon! I’ll post it when it happens, for sure!
